Things here are chugging along rather smooth lately (at least where the holidays are concerned). It’s so amazing to me at how much energy it takes to force yourself to slow down. This time of year always boasts of business, hustling and bustling, but after making myself not do the crazed holiday thing, I think this Christmas season is my favorite so far. Of course my day does come to a screeching halt around 5:30 pm when my evening sickness rares it’s ugliness. Just a few more short weeks before the promises of the second trimester, right?
I wanted to get one more batch of clutches in the shop for Christmas before I take a break for a little bit, which will relieve a little stress (and time, also) to finish up other holiday gifts. It was interesting trying to come up with an idea that wasn’t too Christmas-y. So they’re a little more understated, but just as pretty I think, and emphasize something that I love about Christmastime - twinkly, shiny things!

I really can’t decide which I like better - the snowflakes, or the wintry trees. I actually love the blue ones, even tho they’re hard to see - they have that wintry, icy look to them, despite what the photo’s do not convey. You can find them here if you’re interested in purchasing one. And b/c I’ve mentioned it twice so far in the last month or so, I’m giving away a clutch (it’s a blue snowflake one like the one here), so if you want to take a stab at taking her home, just leave your name and your email in the comments and answer the following question and I’ll pull a name Thursday: What was the best gift you ever received for the holidays?

Candace, my friend, I love the snowflake ones! I’m doing a snowflake party for Lydia’s birthday (yes, I’m a little early) so everything snowflake I’m lovin’!
Let’s see…my favorite Christmas present? Well, as a kid it was that original Nintendo. I think I could beat the whole thing if I could play it right now.
Another one of my favorite gifts was the Christmas after I got married–my wedding dress was still at my parents’ house. For Christmas my DAD got it…what’s that called?…preserved for me! That meant a lot to me!

Favorite Christmas gift…let’s see. I’d have to say my Sirius satellite radio. I’ve had it for two years now and still get giddy when I get in my car and look at it;)

I love the snowflakes! Too cute!
Favorite Christmas gift? That would have to be a healthy baby girl. Madison wasn’t due until January but she came on November 25th and we were so worried about her being so small and early but on Christmas day she was 1 month old and healthy enough, so we took her out for the first time and everyone finally got to see her, it was really special for all of us.

My favorite Christmas gift was an orange banana seat bike with ape hanger handlebars. I would ride it right now if it didn’t get stolen….

Love the Snowflake one! Very cute!
Favorite Gift: My son went to the dollar store and bought me a necklace. He saved up his money and spent about an hour looking over everything in there…Is that not so sweet!

I must make sure that I tell you AGAIN so absolutely beautiful your work is…Damn I hate that it is Christmas and I can’t buy myself things!! BEAUTIFUL…My favorite is the snowflakes…Awwww
So..My favorite holiday present would have to be my youngest daughter..I know I didn’t get her for Christmas, but I did get her for the holidays and that was your question…Born at 37 weeks due to size she inhaled amniotic fluid and got pneumonia. After recovering from that her heart condition was discovered and she was moved to another hospital..I went home without her and almost died of heartbreak…But after getting regulated on medication to control her condition she got to come home for the first time 2 days after Thanksgiving. She was 16 days old and the best early Christmas present that I have ever recieved. This Thanksgiving was so much better…Thanks for letting me remember why I am so lucky to be a mother…

Last year’s Christmas present was pretty hard to top. Even though I was 99.9% sure I was pregnant, I took a pregnancy test on Christmas morning to confirm that we were expecting # 2.

A few years ago my family got me a washer and dryer for Christmas. After years of laundromatting, that was an amazing gift.

I’m also a fan of the snowflakes, but the wintry trees.. good idea and so classy. My best Christmas gift ever…?? I’d have to go with the discovery of my pregnancy with Susannah as a first, then my new snowpants that I got last Christmas as a second. my e-mail for the clutch contest… mybloggylife@gmail.com

I love them Candace. I was checking them out on your Etsy site before I came here. My best girft ever came from my DH. It is a reversible satin/fleece robe. I can either feel warm and cozy or sexy!

These are gorgeous!
My favorite gift…you’re so going to think I’m wierd, but it’s canned boiled peanuts. HH puts them in my stocking every year!
My new favorite gift could be winning this clutch. My current one (I decided to keep the blue one for myself) needs a good washin’, but I cannot bear to not carry it. A back up sure would be handy. Hint hint!

Ok, that clutch is too cute to NOT reply!
My favorite Christmas gift was when I was in 4th grade and got the Barbie Doll Dreamhouse that I’d been eyeing all year! Second (which I have to list) were all the Tricie Belden books I got from my mom & step-dad over the years.
