So I won’t talk about how busy or stressed out I’ve been trying to get everything ready for the baby, or how I was thrown into the super-stressed-mode by an ultrasound this past Thursday that showed Max measuring three weeks ahead (yes, I’m due in four…you do the math), or the fact that I had an emergency root canal done yesterday afternoon after dealing with the throbbing pain all weekend (but I *heart* my dentist so much, even tho it’s weird hearing him and his assistant humming “Sexual Healing” along with the radio while performing the procedure) so instead I will show you some pictures of Conner’s first camping trip with daddy.
This past Friday Tim and Conner met up with Conner’s B.F.F. and his daddy at a nearby campground for some male-bonding (translated: free night for mommy!!). I was mildly jealous that I wouldn’t be able to go since it was boys only, and hello, I’m not sleeping on the ground nine months pregnant. But that jealousy literally melted away as the temperature rose to 95 degrees and only went down to the 70’s that night. Me no likey the heat. But Conner and Tim didn’t seem to mind and had a blast anyways.

I was hoping to show more pictures (like the ones the fabulous Amy Martin took for us, and then some of the nursery) but my picture software is acting up so you must wait. The rest of the week I shall busy myself with lovely last-minute tasks like packing my hospital bag and cleaning the house from top to bottom. Wish me fun times!

i love that they did this! Maybe one year Lucy will get to go? I know it’s just a boy thing and she’d probly whine the whole time but i love the daddy camping trip thing. Love the pictures they look like they had soo much fun!

I’m mildly panicked for you (but a little jealous at the same time!)
I love the camping pictures. The Wog just got a new giraffe tent for his birthday and HH is talking about a boys’ night campout in yard. I’m thinking that sounds like a wonderful idea!
BTW, started Woggie in his “big boy” bed last night. Lasted for approximately one hour, then he was in our bed. Soon, we’ll have the whole family of four in there! I’ll never sleep again!

umm…can’t believe you’re measuring that early! well, you never know - and an u/s can be off by a few pouds either way - esp. this late in the game (so i’ve heard). i pray you have peace amidst this time. i’m already feeling ready to just have this baby already - so i can only imagine what you’re feeling!

Thanks for showing the pictures, and I did not hear very many details from the camping trip (i.e. - playing with fire). I know they had a good time. John has been telling everyone about his camping trip. That’s the first thing he said to his Sunday school teacher. I can’t wait till Tyler and Max can go along with them.

Those pictures are great. Conner looks so grown up. The fire shot with Jared and John…hilarious. Ummm…just a wee dangerous but who is counting? So glad the big and little boys were good sports with the heat. I would have been one whinny mess!

Great pics and it looks like they had a very special time together. It’s crazy to think that in a couple short years Xan will be going on camping trips with Alex. Sorry to hear about the root canal…here’s hoping that Max stays and bakes as long as he’s supposed to. Stay cool in that VA heat!
